Our Mission
The Newcomers Club of the Southwest Suburbs is a social and civic group whose members strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere of friendliness and support to newcomers.
General Club Information
Board Meetings:
- Open to all members
- Held the first Tuesday of each month, August through May.
- Information is provided to members on the location/format of the board meeting prior to the meeting
Prospective Member Welcome: Members and Prospective Members are encouraged to attend the Conversation & Connection Crew (Triple C), every Monday (unless noted otherwise via Club email), at 10:30 am at Ginna’s Café in Scheels at Eden Prairie Mall.
Luncheon Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, September through May. These luncheons occasionally include a special tour or guest speaker.
Activities: Club activities are described on the Activities page on this site. Members are given access to a Members Only page where details of date, time, location and contact member are provided.
Membership is required for regular participation in any club activity. Prospective members may attend two club activities before becoming a member.
The club year runs from June 1 through May 31. Dues are $25.00. Renewing members pay by June 1 to be included in the directory. Members who do not pay dues by July 1, may be dropped from the club and may not participate in activities until membership is paid. Click here for Membership Form
Directories: Members in good standing are given access to members’ personal information which is updated as needed. This information is to be held confidential and used strictly for social purposes relating to the members of Newcomers. The information is never to be used for personal gain, or for political or religious beliefs. Member information is not to be given or loaned to any person or organization outside the club.
Member Communication: Email is used to send members immediate club news, announcements, save-the-dates, changes, and reminders.
