And More Activities . . .

Book Club – Each month on the third Wednesday at noon a current book or a timeless classic is discussed at members’ homes.  Interesting conversations are sure to take place!

Chick Flicks – On the first Wednesday of each month a group meets for lunch and a movie.  Attendees do not have to see the same movie. You can just join the group for lunch if you prefer. Meeting times and theater locations vary. This activity is always a treat!

Knit and Crochet – Learn to knit or crochet with this newly formed group. Even if you are experienced, come join us for some fun! This group meets each month on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 1 p.m..

On the Road with Lynne – Join our member, Lynne,  to see new places (mainly each summer).  If there is some place you’d like to go that’s within a reasonable drive, just let Lynne know!  For this mainly spur-of-the-moment event, Lynne leaves in the morning around 8:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Social Events – Friends and out-of-town guests are invited to participate in two activities or social events before membership is required. A member’s spouse, partner or special someone is welcome to social events. The more the merrier! If you would like information about upcoming events, please email our Prospective Membership Contact, Shar, or call her at 952-974-8429.

Walking Group – Start walking on Monday mornings. Meet some new friends at Staring Lake in Eden Prairie for a beautiful walk around the lake starting at 9:30 a.m. followed by coffee and conversation.

Gardening Group – Enjoy viewing and discussing the many gardening opportunities in the area with other plant lovers in Newcomers.  Past tours included the Minnesota Arboretum, Macy’s Flower Show, Bachman’s Floral Gift and Garden, and others, followed by lunch in the area. Events are scheduled irregularly, so look for email and newsletter notification.

Additional Groups – Members are encouraged to form additional activity groups in areas of interest.
